Day 1 & 2 submissions have been posted on Problogger website: Killer Titles – Group Writing Project Submissions. As promised the latest titles run the gamut using tips from Darren Rowse’s  How to Craft Post Titles that Draw Readers Into Your Blog. They include: communicate a benefit, create controversy, ask a question, personalize, use keywords, use power words, big claims and promises, and humor titles.

We’ve got a few more days of submissions, but I thought I’d share with you some of my favorites. Nearly every post was well written and developed cleverly from the title

These titles caught my attention purely out of curiosity and played on humor.

Who doesn’t love a title with a question? It’s a hook with a tasty treat on the end.

Titles that elicit shock, spark controversy or play on humor often get me clicking and reading and, with any luck, sharing and subscribing.

The winning title out of the first two day’s submissions is (loud music ensues)

Check it out and tell me what you think. For a complete list of submissions, check out Killer Titles – Group Writing Project Submissions

I was a little apprehensive about the Martha title, but it is a really good post. Some great lessons in there. I clicked on several of the funny titles you picked out, for the humor hook.

This contest is a great benefit to all who get involved. One you get traffic with a good title. And two you learn to write a good title.
Good Luck with your entries.
