These days, microblogging or lifestreaming are the new modus operandi of those in the know; nary would an internet hipster be caught dead without their updating platform of choice. And what’s in favor today may quickly become a thing of the past. How now, Kwippy.com? Essentially, Kwippy.com is yet another microblogging platform like Twitter or Plurk. The good news is that if you’re a Ping.fm user, you can add your Kwippy profile to your list of social services and update all of your streams at once. Alternatively, you can IM your updates via GoogleTalk. The bad news is the Kwippy’s API has yet to be released. The ability to pass content between desktop and web applications seems to be the tipping point for the Open Source community. Also, unlike Plurk, the program lacks the ability for users to share pics and vids. Tsk Tsk…. Let’s assume the Kwippy team is working fast and furious to deliver on their credo, “It’ll Change the Way You Blog and Network.” For now, I rest in pensive repose waiting to be dazzled. Kwippy me, if you’ve got it! Related posts on lifestreaming:
