Posterous, launched earlier this month with perhaps the easiest blogging platform to date. It’s as simple as sending an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . The subject line is your post title, the text area is your content and you can attach photos, videos and sound files, which will be displayed using a custom Flash player on the site. Hot bananas!

Since user names are so passé, they’ve made it super easy to use the service with no account sign-up; all you have to do is send your first email and they send a link to your new post with an option to edit or remove. They suggest that you create a password for your account (optional) so you can choose a personalized domain, customize and manage your Posterous account and connect with other subscribers.

For now, the company sails with only two employees at the helm, cofounders Sachin & Garry but I predict a promising future for the two young developers. The launch has been met with stellar reviews by top bloggers Stowe Boyd, who writes, “It is a really easy way to blog, maybe the easiest way I have seen so far,” and TechCrunch’s Michael Arrington who claims, “…Posterous is dead simple to use and does the mobile blogging thing very well.”

New features will be launched well into the summer. To stay in tune with the latest and greatest, subscribe to the official Posterous Blog.

Thanks for the post. I didn't know about this service. That is what is so amazing about social media--if I follow different people I find a variety of new or useful services.
