Admittedly, I have affection for the mixtape which may or not be a reflection of my generation but certainly speaks to my affinity for divining the good stuff. Today was a good day for while rooting about online for a tasty morsel, what to my wandering eyes did appear but a place called Fuzz, an online community enabling independent-minded fans to discover, share, review and buy music in an interactive forum. Think Twitter but strictly with music. Think sharing and swapping digital mixtapes. Think awesomeness. If you’re using Blip, add me as a friend and I promise to share the sweet jams: http://tinyurl.com/5xagds
Why this place to park my musical tastes among the gazillions of social networking websites? Maybe because it’s a shiny new toy or maybe because I applaud the last line of the Fuzz Manifesto wherein they state, “We believe the future of the music industry is open, participatory, ever changing and unlimited in its potential to impact the world.” I like a community that espouses revolution through music and believes in doing right by people who create and love music. Now I must go work on a mixtape of undeniable greatness!
