Updates in my Facebook feed tipped me off about a new online film series sponsored by the New York Times Style Magazine called T Takes. Directed by Brody Baker and featuring a music soundtrack by “Band Of Horses,” the twelve shorts were filmed at this year’s Sundance film festival; conceived to be vied in order, the twelve-part episodic series debuts today, March 17, 2008, with a new installment posted every weekday morning.

If you can get past all the banner ads and the tiny viewing screen, the first installment staring Josh Hartnett proves an indication of a poetically quiet and enigmatic project. If you can’t deal with small, get your full-screen viewing styles on at The New York Times YouTube channel.
