What is an RSS feed? The acronym stands for “Really Simple Syndication” which is essentially a way for news sites or blogs to share a list of their most current articles and headlines. There are several aggregators that will capture all these feeds for you in one convenient place, making it handy for you to peruse article headlines at your leisure and keep you informed with what matters to you most.
RSS feeds are awesome for staying in step with the latest news from your favorite writers and news sources. I recently discovered you can RSS feed your searches on Craigslist. Look for the RSS image at the bottom of your page listing of choice and subscribe to your preferred search. For instance, if I wanted an RSS feed to seed any and all posts for chandeliers for sale all I need to do is create a search with the word chandelier, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the RSS symbol . A feed called, “craigslist portland | for sale / wanted search for "Chandelier," will now appear in my Bookmarks Toolbar Folder. That’s hot bananas! The next time you are in the market for a unicycle or looking for a job in the aquatic sports field and let Craigslist RSS feed do the searching for you!
