Apparently, not all companies who use sports promotional items see the repercussions they expect to see after the project. This is not because the corporate logo items are ineffective means of marketing per se, but more because the companies were not able to use them fittingly. So what did these companies do that paved the way to their marketing fail? Here is a list of the conventional mistakes companies commit that’s why they fail to make corporate logo sports products work for them:
1. Buying Fancy Yet Useless Items
It is decisive to choose fun items to give your market to immediately grab their attention, but it is equally, if not, more important, to give something that they can use on a regular basis. This is for the obvious reason that your purpose is not only to take hold of people’s attention but to hold that attention for a long time—you need to let people use you often so you can get frequent exposure. Therefore, select function over being playful and creative. Doing this will certainly make your brand be remembered through promotional sports products.
2. Electing to Purchase Costly Promotional Items
On the surface, you might think that this means that you shouldn’t buy extravagant promotional items—if you can why not? But, the only problem is that you can get high-quality corporate logo products for a low price, so why buy expensive ones? You just have to very patient and keen in your search for the top-caliber corporate logo item supplier out there. You can find a countless number of them on-line so you need not worry.
3. Putting Sizes for Promotional Sports Apparel
Never put sizes for your giveaway sports products, specially if they are apparel. This is for the obvious reason that by doing so, you are minimizing the number of people that can use your corporate logo product. And you wouldn’t want that for the obvious reason that every possible person that can wear your apparel is a chance for exposure. Never lose track of the fact that your target is to get as much as people to use your corporate logo item so you can gain greater visibility.
Don’t simply let history repeat itself in your corporate logo sports items campaign. Learn from the past and avoid the old mistakes that have let many companies fail in the advances.
